I'm not too sure how I feel about this one. It is well written, and I did enjoy the writing style.
The characters weren't particularly likeable, I understand how their experiences shaped them, but they weren't great, and they all drink too much. I found myself skimming some parts because it didn't feel relevant or interesting, and some things were far too detailed and didn't need to be.
I also didn't like the casual mention of (TW) Child Sexual Exploitation that wasn't really delved into deeper. It came up out of nowhere for me and was kind of brushed off as casual / normal, which icked my wtf factor.
The ending also wasn't super conclusive. It was abrupt and left me wondering exactly where the characters were headed and didn't seem like the conflict was really solved, just more conflict added.
