Mad Love by Willow Aster
4.25
please note that the trigger warnings and topes/themes may contain spoilers
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
HEA: HEA
POV: dual 1st person POV
spice: several open-door spicy scenes
TWs: birth control tampering, car accident (fatal), death of a sibling, parental abandonment
Kinky Content: cumming in pants, finger kicking good, grinding, oral, mirror sex, shower sex, slight somnophilia
standalone: book 1 in the Single Dad Playbook series
final thoughts: I knew I was going to love this story when the book starts out with a map of the small town- HOW CUTE!!
This was such an interesting book concept, and I didnβt know how it would end up, but I loved their journey so much. Weston was a sweetheart at every turn leaving Sadie confused and wondering what is real. I loved watching them go from one-sided rivals (on Sadieβs part) to reluctant roommates, to best friends, to lovers. I love seeing family dynamics that arenβt toxic and gross, and while we do get some bits and pieces (because no family is perfect), the way the families interact with each other was such a breath of fresh air.
The male friendships in this book were (again) non-toxic and oh so sweet. I love how they built each other up, supported each other, and were reliable as friends and teammates. I canβt wait to read about the rest of the dads!
