This was a great marriage of convenience book with elements of enemies to lovers in it. Dante rlly grinded my gears in the beginning, as ‘alpha’ men aren’t really my favourite but I really enjoyed seeing him grow and learn to communicate. Smt about these grumpy men learning to be soft for their significant other gets to me lol.

I liked that both the leads are later on in their life than a lot of romance books (late 20s-30s) and so both really felt like their own individual people coming together in a partnership. I loved that vivian learnt to stand up for herself and wasn’t afraid to call Dante on his bs. I found her story especially compelling with her family dynamics, and it’s not something that is touched on very often in popular media.

Ofc the spice was immaculate as well, well placed throughout the book so there was neither too much nor too little, and there was still a plot surrounding it.

One minor thing was the fact that this was my first time reading a book by this author and there was so much name dropping of characters that are clearly reoccurring, but without any of the context to rlly make sense of it. It’s a bit of a shame when they’re just mentioned briefly, for fun, but they stick out really obviously. Didn’t subtract from my enjoyment but was definitely noticeable.

Overall it was good fun to read and I look forward to the next book in the series.
