The beginning of this book sucked me right in and I was really enjoying it. But the middle is dragging a LOT. And she keeps introducing new characters, but I’m finding them very 2 dimensional… so I can’t keep them straight because I don’t care about any of them. So I just had to throw in the towel because I was just getting confused and I’m not engaged anymore. Also… this might sound weird… but it bothered me that almost EVERYONE goes by a shortened version of their name… Silas = Si. Everette = EV. Henry = Hen. Ashley = Ash. Cal… well I can’t remember Cal’s full name but he has a longer name too and goes by Cal. It just seemed weird to me. Plus it gave me more unnecessary detail to remember because she tells you all of their full names. And at weird times too… like I wouldn’t be like: “This is my friend Ashley, but he goes by Ash.” I’d just say: “This is my buddy Ash.”
