This book is an investment but it is a beautiful masterpiece IMO. It’s over 800k words (more than TGCF but less than QJJ) broken up into 5 books. Slow introduction as the first book sets the stage introducing characters, locations, and political alliances and rivals. I don’t think this book is for everyone but if you like epic journeys taking place over a long period of time with lots of details that will be come into play eventually- this book is for you. Highly recommend annotating or at least writing out names/locations to keep from getting lost because it is A LOT. My epub had a very helpful map and character/location index.
