This book moved too fast for it's story. There were characters that we barely met; then others who grew up in a blink that we met in the first book over only a year or so.
The story touched on bits of tragedy in a couple of the ancillary character stories, but I don't feel that these pieces were explored enough. Marty was sad, then the story moved on.
