Hardly is there a better, well-researched treatise on select African history. Paul Kenyon has invested much time and enterprise into narrating the stories of men who pillaged Africa's resources. It is an intriguing story of how power corrupts. It provokes the thought of where Africa, but for these men and circumstances leading to their ascension to power, would be.
