The Hatching by Ezekiel Boone
2.25
As I was reading this I was enjoying it. It's fast paced and compelling. But as I got closer and closer to the end I realised it simply isn't a full story. Turns out it's the first part of a trilogy, and the books do not stand alone.
It was fine as the first section of a long novel. But as a book in its own right? Too slow, too many points of view, not all of which we needed, at all, and an incomplete story.
Disappointing.
