Read this fantasy romance if you like:
• arranged marriage
• runaway bride
• miscommunication
• cinnamon roll hero
• only one cloak and one horse
• touch her and die

The premise sounds very interesting and despite the miscommunication already mentioned up front by the author I’m willing to give this one a try. Even though there's a high chance I'll get annoyed with the characters but this book turns out to be quite enjoyable!

I really enjoy following the adventure of the main characters as the groom (Telon) helps his own bride (Rachiele) to escape and earn her freedom.
I love the teasing and bantering they thrown to one another which liven up the story and I also like some of the sweet moments they shared upon opening up to each other.

I really like their chemistry, I admit they are good for each other but the lack of communication that happens for the big part of the story made me feel frustrated sometimes that I wish I could go inside the story and slap them both! 😂
Nevertheless, I’m still rooting for them until the end and I’m happy to see they got the ending they deserved.

Overall, this is a well written story with great writing style and satisfying ending.
I’m looking forward to read the 2nd book where it feature Corin (Telon’s best friend) as the main character. I would like to see more of him and also explore the world building further!

Thank you to Book of Matches Media and the author for giving me an e-ARC of the book and for having me on this book tour. I’m leaving this review voluntarily!

⚠️ 𝐓𝐖: There is threatened torture/murder, the FMC has concerns at the beginning of being forced to bear children for a man she doesn't love, but this doesn't happen either.
One character deals with neglectful parents and another with parents who are in constant conflict.
Fantasy violence. Very mild gore.
