Thank you to Elizabeth Bright and her team for giving me the opportunity to receive an eARC of this book. I am so glad I was able to read her work for the first time.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and found the portrayal of the strong, single dad character to be particularly compelling. The story follows James, a tough and resilient individual, and her character never fails to bring a smile to my face. She truly is a gem in the midst of challenges. Additionally, Adam's character resonated with me, and I empathized with his protective nature towards the ranch and his son. Adam, with his protective nature towards his ranch and son, resonated deeply with me. The well-crafted tension between James and Adam was palpable, highlighting Adam's understandable reluctance to embark on a new relationship. The tension between the two characters was skillfully depicted, and it was easy to understand Adam's hesitance to pursue a new relationship. One of the standout moments for me in the book was when they shared childhood stories; it was heartwarming and brought a genuine smile to my face.
