Huge plot twist in the Veronica Speedwell series when she’s asked to see if a formerly presumed dead traveling companion who has suddenly appeared very much alive at his family estate is an imposter. Veronica and Stoker head to the estate and she has to confront a ghost from her past as well as save the family’s heirloom diamond and her relationship with Stoker. Fast paced, always witty dialogue, another gem in a wonderful series. Thanks Netgalley for giving me an ARC.
