I loved this. I had read Maddie’s story first but of course always wondered about Elouise and Beckett. They did not disappoint. Elouise and Beckett have known eachother since they were kids, he is her brother’s best friends, older brother. She’s always been in love with him, and maybe a little obsessed until one Christmas party and things changed. One camping trip for spring break she volunteers for changes everything, cause not only is Beckett back in Darling Lake, he’s the outdoor expert for the class trip. Elouise had me laughing out loud, I loved her. She was kind, funny and passionate. It was also really nice to read more about her and Maddie’s friendship. Beckett.. well phew 😮‍💨 I’m not sure what I was expecting but he exceeded it. The way he was with Elouise made me swoon, he was direct, yet sweet and protective and that mouth? 😮‍💨 So. Good. Their story had its up and downs and a bit of suspense - and I ate it all up. Definitely adding it to my favorites list.
