On a scale of cotton candy to Brussels sprouts, Neanderthal Marries Human is a strawberry shortcake. Sweet and dense, this cake isn't one to underestimate.

Janie and Quinn are getting married, and Janie's not sure their relationship has what it takes to make it "until death do us part" so she and Quinn make a wager. If they can go without sex until the wedding date in 3 months, they do it Janie's way, but if she gives in, they're getting married on Quinn's timeline (within 48 hours).

I love Janie. On the other hand, I found Quinn domineering and just...well...semi-unattractive in his behaviors and possessiveness. But I have to hand it to Janie -- she can handle him in her own way, and I loved seeing that come out more in this book. As per usual, Penny Reid delivered a fantastic, steamy romance.

If you enjoy steamy romance with unique characters, Neanderthal Marries Human is delightful.
