Loved this! I loved Graeme and level headed he was. I knew how to separate the fact that he hated the Armstrong family and the fact that his wife was a Armstrong too but had no part in why he hated her family. I loved how he treated her. He didn't take her for granted and he always made the effort to understand and communicate with her.  He didn't matter to him if she was daft or not, she was his wife now and he would treated her as such.
I loved how much effort he put in trying to make his wife happy and accommodate her. He didn't got it right every time but i appreciated the fact that he always tried to make it better for her.
Eveline was amazing. I loved her personality. I loved the way Maya described Eveline's interactions with people, i felt like i understood her too and she didn't wasn't speaking but gesturing. I loved how some interactions was funny and i loved how she and Graeme's sister got along so well. Even his brothers were a delight once they got into their heads that she was an amazing and she should be treated as such.
I wasn't expecting the tumultuous last part of the book but it made sense once i remember again that Ian was mentioned a lot in  the beginning so it shouldn't have been a surprise to me. I loved how everyone, Armstrong and Montgomery, came together as one to rescue Eveline. I loved how revenge and hatred was forgotten because there was something much valuable in play than get revenge. Love conquers all.
I really hope there is more books coming in this series.
