Definitely loved Dean’s character, but the miscommunication was a bit much for me and I think I needed a much longer backstory between Caleb and Briar before I could believe either of them were ever happy. 
I feel like she could have gotten together with anyone and felt more free and discovered what she wanted, whereas the tension between Caleb and Dean was much more present, which made her seem like a third wheel in this situation. 
Still, I devoured this and I can’t wait to read the next book.
