I mean…it’s not the worst thing I’ve ever read, but I kept waiting for something to happen as I read it, and I feel like nothing did?

This might be because I’m used to books that are more than slice-of-life (which is what I feel this was? Should have read the blurb before reading, though I never do that, want to be surprised - I digress, though) and less an actual failure on the part of the book.

That said, I can’t really rate or review it as anyone but me, so it was rather lackluster. I kept waiting for someone to get run over, murdered, thrown over the balcony, etc…it just never happened. Which means I was probably not the intended audience for this book, or this book was not meant for me.

If you’re a different kind of reader, into slice-of-life, you’ll probably enjoy it a lot more than I did.
