I think I'm very generous for the 3⭐️ when I initially wanted this to be 2.5 ⭐️ instead. But I'll just settle for the 3⭐️ considering the last 30%, which really compelled me despite the ending being a little bit anticlimactic and the writing in general was pretentious and read more of a romance than a fantasy novel.
I think if the writing was more of a fantasy in read, I would have been more invested.
I admit that some aspects of the world and fantasy elements were pretty interesting, but that couldn't be saved from the writing.
Speaking of the ending, I would say it did rile me up, and that meant I would be reading the next one just to find how the story goes there.
Also forgot to mention that this is quite an enemies to lovers with betrayal arc on it 📍
Thank you, author, and The Nerd Fam for the e-arc opportunity ✨️
