Penance by Eliza Clark

5.0

This is very different to Boy Parts but still very, very good!

It's told as if we're reading a true crime book about the a real murder - the murder of a teenage girl by 3 of her classmates.

It has:
- a focus on the obsession with serial killers and true crime
- murderous teenage girls
- an unreliable narrator? at the beginning of the book we're told that this account may not be entirely accurate
- a look into tumblr and fandom culture (which i loved as a former tumblr girlie who saw how crazy it actually was)
- bullying and toxic friendships (and shows how toxic they can really become)

This was a 5 star read for me and Eliza Clark is easily becoming a favourite author of mine!
