I Wish You All the Best by Mason Deaver
5.0
“I've been mentally preparing myself to come out all over again, but I've been doing that for a while now. That was one of the things I realized early. If you're queer, your life has the potential to become one long coming-out moment. If I ever want to be called the right pronouns, I'll have to correct people and put myself out there first and who knows what could happen.”
Setting: While the setting in itself isn't important in this book, what the setting represents is. It highlights which spaces are safe and accepting for the protagonist and shows that moving away from toxic spaces is often hard but necessary.
Characters: Ben, the main character is a refreshing and passionate person, and reading about their story is moving, happy and sad at the same time. Nathan is also fun to read about, and you see how he is exactly what Ben needs at the point in their life when this story takes place.
Overall: A NEW FAVOURITE please read this it is so moving.
