There's a lot going on with this book. Like Louis said about Lestat in the show: He is a lot. Because Anne rice it's a lot.
I had read taltos when I had like seventeen or eighteen and didn't know it was a trilogy about The Mayfairs witches but now with the show going on I decided to revisit the books .
This it's a mammoth of a book it took me nearly sic months because basically I hated the characters so much: lasher, Michael and Mona having an affair, Rowan leaving with lasher to be utterly ravaged and nearly destroy. But near the half it started to grow on me that Anne rice it's a master crafting the darkness and the whole unlikeable moral.
There is no gray 🩶 lovely character like Lestat Well maybe Julien Mayfair so this was hard to finish but when I get to the point I'm on half of it... I literally devoured the whole thing.
Because the thing is that Anne Rice remind me of my youth. Its like I know I will not recommend this lightly I'm mean the whole Mona having thirteen and be a nimphomaniac I did not like it. It deals with a lot of dark issues but when I was young I adore this dark themes. Anne Rice will never leave you indifferent to her work. Either you love her or hate her. I love her.
Now I'm just going to try to read taltos this part of the year I had left .
