First off, let me just say that I love Hank. He is so soft and so good. I just want to give him a hug. Hank and Esther's meet cute at the diner was sooo perfect. I loved the use of tarot cards (in that scene and throughout the story - I'm a sucker for tarot cards apparently).
I really enjoyed the paranormal element. I was not expecting it, but I liked how it affected the story. All of the side characters were so dynamic and unique, and I liked that we got to know a bit about them throughout the story. (I hope some of them get their own books!) I also really appreciated the inclusion of mental health. And let me just say, the SPICE y'all. It was there and it was amazing.
Throughout the whole story, Callum was searching for Esther which is why she is on the run in the first place. The tension seemed to rise with every mention of him. It did wrap up very nicely without any issues. I was waiting/hoping for some sort of altercation or fight to happen instead.
