This book caught me by surprise.  The cover is ... not great.  But I've seen so many folks say this was a very good shifter romance.  So when my mood reading was not wanting a commitment to a deep and thought-provoking book, I picked it up.  And I must say, I understand the hype now.

The world-building of the shifter world, how they integrate with humans, and how this particular pack lives, all seemed very believable.  There are some shifter romances that just seem super hokey and cringy, but this one didn't feel that way.  It was a solidly written shifter romance!  And it avoided excessive use of pet names (thank you very much), it didn't have a bunch of the ABO dynamics, and the dual POV made sense and didn't break my immersion.

Overall, very happy with it and it will be a recommendation to anyone who may be interested in omegaverse or shifter romances but don't know where to start.
