🚨 This is not a review. It’s a list of plot events to help me remember the story. Spoilers abound! 🚨

  • In the first book, the cliffhanger was
    that the team plane, with Jake and Lachy, had an emergency landing and we learn that everyone is fine; they all realize they've fallen in love with June and vice versa.
  • Lachy and June go to a Farmer's Market, where they run into Lorena, Lachy's ex. He's shocked by her appearance and introduces June as a his friend; when June says she'll leave to give them time to talk, he doesn't follow her right away, increasing her doubts and jealousy. He follows her and all is well.
  • Weirdly, April, June's teenage sister, just shows up in CA thinking she's pregnant even though the test was negative and she used a condom ONE WEEK AGO. She gets her period and starts flirting with the boys - June is jealous. (Why was this a plot line?)
  • The reason Ryan bailed on June was
    he was told his estranged mother was dying of cancer. He decided to make amends with her before she died and promised to try and get to know Mackenzie, his step-sister, who had a shitty childhood.
  • Lachy did an interview in the first book and the team gets a message
    from a potential grandmother. They do a DNA test, he meets with her and loves her, finds out he has lots of family in Scotland and that the family didn't even know his parents had him and gave him up.
  • They also profess their love and tell June they don't want to hide anymore -- she freaks out about what people will think of her and says no.
  • They all go to Wendy's Halloween party and
    have the sexy times in the study. Wendy had installed a camera in there to try and catch her husband cheating and instead released their sex tape to the media.
  • June is leaving school one day and is followed by someone with a camera. She tries to lose him but gets into a car accident. Ryan happens to be there and brings her to the hospital.
  • June gets fired after everyone finds out. As she's walking out of the building, one of her students crazy father shows up to take his son from the mother and shoots June while she's covering his son. The parents get together to get June her job back.
  • Jakes's dick father sends him images of June being romantic with all the boys in order to blackmail him even more. The guy with the camera chasing June was his PI.
  • VERY WEIRD - Jake's mother shows up OUT OF THE BLUE to give him evidence that his father has been embezzling from his clients so Jake has something to counteract his father's blackmail.
  • They decide to come out as dating each other and move in together. HEA
