This was another nice read. I liked it a bit more than the first one, but it wasn't quite enough to be a 4-star story for me. Gavin and Liz are really good together and very steamy. The love scenes are top notch. But the rest of the story is just kind of meh. The main conflict between the characters is just whether or not they want to be in a "real" relationship, which was the same main conflict for the characters in the first book. The woman is in love with the man but afraid to tell him, so she thinks it's better to just break it off since she assumes he doesn't love her. Not that exciting, but overall still worth a read. Although the ending may be one of the cheesiest I've ever read.
The thing that drove me crazy though is that Liz seemed to have a complete personality transplant between the first book and this one. Why use her as the heroine if you didn't like the original version of her? I've seen that happen in a few series, and I don't understand why the author doesn't just write a whole new character instead. It doesn't ruin the story for me, but it is annoying.
And lastly, can I just say that this series has like the yummiest covers ever? Love them!
