We've been introduced to Laine and Eric before but in this book we really dive into their story and their romance. I wanted to really like Laine but found her character repetitive and a little blah. Eric is a great character. I liked the look into Ray Anne's romance with Al and seeing Justin's struggles, hopefully there's more to come there. The end felt a bit rushed and I didn't like how past characters were essentially left out of this book, except in passing.
