Iris Kelly Doesn't Date by Ashley Herring Blake
4.0
I really enjoyed the first half of this but it, like the other books in the series, is just way too long. Around the 70% mark I thought surely we're wrapping things up now this book can't be more than an hour longer, but there was still 3 MORE HOURS.
I liked Stevie and found her anxiety relatable, and her relationships with her friends and ex was really interesting. But while I wanted to really connect with Iris's relationship woes, they never really hit me as hard as I wanted them to.
The epilogue is cute, and I like that it focused on the friend group instead of on Iris and Stevie.
Spoiler
Stevie trying to convince Iris to date her for real was super anticlimactic and could have just been cut completely to just have her ask Iris out immediately after she sees the sketchbook. Also when Iris asks her how she managed to pay for a hot air balloon and all those flowers and Stevie just shrugs her off?? You're an ACTRESS working at a COFFEE SHOP, how DID you pay for all that shit??I liked Stevie and found her anxiety relatable, and her relationships with her friends and ex was really interesting.
