I'm so so so SAD about me hating this book–im trying to put my feelings into words as best as I can because I want to explain it properly.
I've long lost hope in kbr, every like us book has been 3 stars at most, so I've learned to go with low expectations. I guess I grew attached to some characters and that's why I'm still here. BUT, misfits like us was actually good. I thought the magic was back, I can't explain how much I've enjoyed that book, specially since I didn't particularly care about lunelly (never hate or dislike them, just wasn't interested). I started to like then sm, not specially as a Shipp, but like I love the characters, I liked their journey and how they changed little by little.
and then this book happened.
honestly, I hated THAT troupe. I'm just not into it, it's like a soap opera and not a good one. but like the whole book felt.. stuck? like kbr didn't knew what to do and just hey let's like erase things.
then it just felt bored, k couldn't wait to finish it. yeah the ending was wild lol that one last line.. it shocked me but honestly I feel like it's gonna be.. the grandma lol.
idk, the book was messy and boring. I didn't vibe with it, and somehow I started to get irritated by everything. I couldn't care less about luna's stories (the extracts and bits that once felt nice to read, now we're dreading to read), the donelly family thing could've been interesting but started to get blurry with all the names bc who the fuck cares about all the names and ages you know we won't read them again after the last book.
gosh I'm so mad rn, and apparently the next book comes out in january so.. maybe I'll calm down and HOPEFULLY that will be better. (since the bar is SO LOW rn 💀)
