Waiting for the Flood by Alexis Hall
3.75
The characters Hall writes should not work for me. Marius is terrible. No redeming qualities. I don't like books where people are just mean to nice people.
Honeslty this book should not work for me at all. More than once I said out loud "but why though?" Like Hall's 10 Things That Never Happened there is a huge plot hole - someone is injured and stuck at a random person's home and they have a connection. But why doesn't the person leave? It really doesn't make sense, BUT I find myself so drawn to Hall's characters and writing that it doesn't seem to matter. I need to pick up the book again, when I am away from the book I am thinking about the characters, hoping everything turns out well. I really enjoyed this. Even if it was a bit ridiculous and disjointed.
