This book is the best book I've read so far this year. It's a fun, gore-filled, clown overloaded, riot! I had so much fun reading this, it's one of the most unique reading experiences I've ever had, from it's movie style structure and delivery to the QR code in the beginning of the book that when scanned brings up a Spotify playlist (soundtrack) to listen along to whilst reading. There are so many fun and wild characters in this book from the impossible not to root for protagonists to the array of off the wall carny folk, each who are brilliant in their own right. Mari and Sully, to name just two of my favourites...
This book is such a breath of fresh air and subverts your expectations by not falling into the tropes and doing what every other slasher novel/movie always seems to do... I know this is stating the obvious with what this book's essence is but it would make an outstanding slasher movie, something akin to movies like 'House Of 1000 Corpses' and 'Terrifier'.
