this was a book i loved as a kid, but it's the first time i've read it in i think 7 years? i forgot pretty much everything that happened until i reread it. 

a wrinkle in time is about a girl, her magical little brother, and her emotionally intelligent classmate who go on an adventure through time and space to rescue her father and see weird stuff along the way. it's very the giver by lois lowry at times. 

i have a newfound appreciation for calvin on this reread.. he's more emotionally sensitive than i even noticed when i was a kid? he's honest and kind and such a good side character i love him sm. though when i was a kid i think i was moreso a charles wallace truther (not that im not a charles wallace truther now) yeah 5 stars
