The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie

4.0

I read this already having had the book spoiled and even so I could barely pick out the clues that pointed to the real killer and even then missed some. In such a good way. The story and pacing were engaging the whole way through. The twists of clues and suspicions changing back and forth and never being confident that you’re on to someone was a great ride. I think Agatha Christie did a fantastic job on this book by giving just enough to cast suspicion if you’re paying attention but keeping you on your toes to the end.

The characters in this were also charming. The little village life and the information (gossip) network at play was so entertaining to read alongside the actual investigation going on. Really enjoyed this one.
