Oh my gods, this was so good!!  I was super excited about this book and then I finally read it and it very much lived up to the hype.  The writing style was stunning, everything was written so well.

Diego was a turned vampire who worked at a role play club when one night they see their ex and things only go from there.  Working through the trauma, healing their relationship, and even perhaps giving a second chance?  However, things get worse before they get better and a local group of vampire hunters decide they’re tired of the authorities doing nothing to stop the vampires… just existing.

The characters, the queer rep, the spicy moments, the overall plot were all written so well.  There was so much that happened in this novella and yet the pacing of this was done perfectly.  Overall, if you want to read about a vampire x human second chance romance who fight vampire hunters and who have a not so lowkey biting kink then this book might be for you.

"They for my friends, he for my lovers."
- Diego (Chapter 1, Page 12)

I had to include this quote, it was too iconic not to.

I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this author, their work is amazing so far.  Thank you so much to D. N. Bryn for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
