The Disappearances by Emily Bain Murphy

4.0

This is my second read by this author. I liked the first one I read more but still really enjoyed this one!

I really loved the characters and mystery in it. The tie in with Shakespeare was also really fun. I especially loved the sibling subplot, as I could relate with my own little brother.

There were scenes by another POV between our main character and those weren't as interesting to me. I could see why they were in the book, but but my favorite.

The ending was not satisfying to me. The cause of the curse wasn't something that I could have foreseen or "solved". It also didn't feel fully explained.

Overall, I really enjoyed the book, but it wasn't quite a five star read for me. I very much look forward to more books by this author.
