Review: Oh, Youโ€™re So Cold is the MOST angsty read I have read in a whileโ€ฆmaybe since Saffronโ€™s You Beautiful Thing, You! Stellan duly lives up to his nickname in this book and I loved getting more insight into the Thorn family dynamics after Conradโ€™s and Ledgerโ€™s books. The way Stellan and Dora push and pull like magnets lit the pages with the most delicious game of fire and ice and it was ENTHRALLING to watch them fall down the rabbit hole of obsession and lust.

This book is a romance that is full scale forbidden and taboo is the best of ways and Isadora is not the warm and innocent FMC we saw in book 1. I both loved and hated her all throughout this book since she was aware of how she acted but still used everything in her arsenal to win Stellan over. The fact that she uses his twin brother to gain his attention and then is reluctant to handle the fallout made me hate her a bit since Shepard fell so hopelessly for her and she only ever saw him as her best friend.  I appreciated how SAK also diversified the characters in this book with making the FMC Indian American and added personal conflicts in her story that provided character arcs that were fresh and different for her general FMCs.

Stellan was a block of ice and was a beast very different from the brothers we got so far. His story was heartbreaking and full of the daddy issues SAK loves to throw our way but I found Stellan to bed the MMC who broke my heart the most. He had a view of himself that was the most skewed so far but also hid the soft underbelly he was terrified to show. As with all of SAKโ€™s books, the couple if full of red flags, tiggers, kinks and emotional backlash that is not for everyone but AH_MAZING for those of us who love the alphahole red-flag romances and Stellan sure does fit that bill! The chapters we get from his POV WRECKED me and I hated to see how he was secretly drowning.

Saffron was able to give us a book that was full of simmering tension and HAWT spice once it ramps up and these two are COMBUSTIBLE in the worst and best ways. I found the forbidden trope to be my favorite area of romance in the story and enjoyed seeing them both break down their barriers to cross the line into more. One area I wished there was more of was Stellanโ€™s thoughts on how Dora used his twin and how that relationship affected him. While the blow out was SAK worthy I found myself hurting for Shepard and aching to see him find his person (which is coming!).

Rating: 100+, The Cold Thorn strikes again and ices everything in his wake! This book left me salivating for the next Thorn brother and I loved getting to see Stellan melt in the wake of Isadora!

Thank you to Saffron for sending me this ARC!
