The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson

5.0

The cover really lets this book down. It is a total stunner of a book, it goes DEEP, yet the cover makes it look like a young adult fantasy romance. I've actually seen 2 covers and they both do that. Not cool.

It's actually amazing. It covers a lot. There's a horrific accident where someone gets 90% of their body burnt and we go through the entire recovery process with them which is absolutely brutal. There's porn and drugs, there's love and morality, there's a 14th century monastery, there are Vikings, there's god, death, questions of sanity, and a really great walk through Dante's Hell. It's all just very good. Read it, despite the cover, this is no pulp fiction. 5 stars.
