As Bright as Heaven by Susan Meissner

5.0

I could not put this book down. I don't know what I expected when I started reading, but I know I didn't expect the incredible craftsmanship of Meissner's writing. She is a beautiful writer.

I knew very little about the Spanish Flu Epidemic of 1918, but writing it from the perspective of a family who owned a funeral parlor was brilliant.

The characters of As Bright As Heaven are painfully real, the plot twists are shocking, and every part of this is a story that needs to be told.
