So, even when I love a book and read it voraciously, I don't think I've ever devoured a book quite as fast as I did this one. It was just.... Incredible. It kept me in suspense, I was literally on the edge of my seat, reading with bated breath. No book has ever got me quite as stirred for fight scenes as this one. To say I was invested in what happened would be an understatement. I can't think of a single thing I didn't like. I loved the characters and the progression of the plot, and the way Geralt and Yennefer's relationship was written. Am I in love with them now? Yes. I love the way the book managed to go through several perspectives without feeling forced or unnecessary. And still, my absolute favourite thing in this book, and the series so far, is the way all the characters are written, especially the women. And Geralt, who is such a special character with so much complexity. I seriously have never fell for a fantasy book as hard as I have for The Witcher. I can't wait to start the third book!
