Wrapped in Rain by Charles Martin

4.0

This is a beautifully written story of hate and of love. Of how a father should be and how he shouldn't be. Of the brokenness caused by hate, especially the hate of a father. And how the love of a mother, though not the one who gave birth to the child, conquers that hate.

This is also the second Charles Martin book I've read and I'm wondering if the hero always rescues battered women at truck stops. Maybe I'll read a third one to see if this is a recurring theme or if I just happened to pick up the two books where this is a major part of the plot.
