Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo
3.0
Well.. that was a bit underwhelming. Again, I feel quite neutrally on this instalment, though the ending was a disappointment if I ever did read one. This started off well, dragged in the middle, and then wrapped up far too nicely. I totally understand why people hate the way this series ends, because it felt so far-fetched and random? It almost felt as though Leigh Bardugo didn't know how she was going to end the book until the last 30 pages and she just went with the first thing that came to her head. I don't regret reading this book, and I'm glad I can officially say I've read this trilogy, but it was kind of a bummer to see what I was hoping would be an explosive ending turn out to be a bit silly honestly. But we all know what this means.. onto Six of Crows!
