Book #42 of 2024:
A fun and quirky romcom. Well, it was more about friendship and discovery than romance. I like that this author doesn’t always follow the same old formulas.
I love the sibling relationship with Shelby and Heath as well as the friendship between Arnie and Jordan. Heath and his factoid fall-back are funny and the author shares her real-life inspiration for the story at the end.
In the early couple of chapters, I did feel like as though I dropped into a story already in progress. I felt a little confused for a while which is why I dropped my rating below 4.
I’ve enjoyed other books by this author more but this was sweet and comical. I enjoyed the build-up to the sorta-secret admirer reveal.
