Two rival agents in a futuristic war conducted through time begin a correspondence in an inventive and secretive manner - disguising their letters in increasingly complicated ways as they travel through time and continents challenging each other and avoiding their respective superiors.
The book whips along speedily as we follow Blue and Red in alternate chapters and interweaved with their letters. This is obviously written by two people who love language and poetic in style but at times it does feel like they are regurgitating the dictionary but it is clever and thoughtful but I found it difficult at times to follow not the story itself but the way the world works. It is down right weird! Maybe just not my cup ‘o tea.
