The Vampire with the Dragon Tattoo by Kerrelyn Sparks

1.5

For this month’s bookish bingo I really need a book with a tattoo on the cover. And I needed something in audiobook form and I needed it NOW. I wasn’t having much luck visually searching for tattoos on covers in my existing TBR so I resorted to searching for books with the word tattoo in the title. This was one of the only books available now as an audiobook that would fit my bingo prompt. I like stupid vampire romances by Lynsay Sands and she had a quote on the cover so I figured it would be similar. But boy was I wrong. Vampires are not typically scientific and logical like they are in the Argeneau universe, but in the universe of THIS book… it was so all over the place it made absolutely no sense whatsoever. The universe was so chaotic with not only vampires and shifters (think were-everything. Wolves. Cats. Tigers. Dolphins)… but there were also demons?? And angels?? And different classes of angels?? Including guardian angels that follow every being with a soul invisibly?!? It was just too much.

The start of the book had a lot of promise but then they just kept introducing more and more stuff and I feel like the plot got lost within this mad universe. The chaos of the universe overshadowed the relationship of the MCs.

By the last several hours I was desperate for it to be over.
