The Fires of Vesuvius: Pompeii Lost and Found by Mary Beard

3.0

I love the topic and like most people, I'm curious about the "what happened?" This book felt more like a "this is how we imagine their life to be" imagining and I wasn't really interested in that. I wanted to know about the actual cataclysmic event. Don't get me wrong, a lot of the history was fascinating I just wanted more of something else.
