The Vanishing Hour by Seraphina Nova Glass
4.0
Summary: Grace Holloway is the manager of a small inn in Rock Harbour, Maine. Grace keeps to herself and struggles with her mental health after a harrowing experience being abducted and assaulted when she was just twenty. Now young women are going missing in Rock Harbour again - women who bear an uncanny resemblance to Grace when she was twenty. Then, inexplicably, two men in their seventies also go missing and the police are baffled. But one mother won't let it go until she finds her missing daughter, and it appears that Grace might hold the key to it all.
Thoughts: I read this novel in about 24 hours, which is record fast for me. While I am not really a fan of the well-worn plot involving abducted women, this one pulled me in. It is action-packed and I enjoyed the tense little triangle between Grace, Aden and Vinny. While Grace might seem like a damaged victim, she surprises the reader with her courage and ability to get justice on her own terms. I will be looking for more from this author!
