• Ava (daughter  of Cole/Silver) is diagnosed with psychosis and, when she’s 23, becomes an alcoholic to try and deal with it. Because her psychosis and fugue states, she’s given up her cello. 
• Eli (son of Aidan/Elsa)is still a sociopath, who never smiles or shows emotion of any kind, except for his family. 

• One night, Ava drove drunk, crashed her car and woke up in the hospital. Her amnesia erased the last two tears of her life and she realized, in that time, she’s married her enemy, Eli. 
• He threatens everyone to keep the last two years of her life a secret from her bc he believes she’s been coddled and that she deserves to live a “normal life” instead, which he’ll attempt to give her. 
• He also believes the mental institution she was in during those two years stole her light and spark and, if he can take care of her instead, she’ll be able to get that back (even if she hates him for their life together bc of all the things he has to do to (for) her and take away from her.)
• She moves back in with him, hoping to find answers. She also begs him for a divorce to which he says no. 
• Her revenge plan is to make him fall in love with her and then divorce him, but she slowly starts to fall in love with him, even though he:

• He believes these are triggers for her, especially his own face so he hides as much as he can of himself from her to protect her, only for her to believe his rejection is proof that he will never love her. 

• She believes she’s getting better (bc she never remembers her fugue states and nobody tells her she still has them). She starts playing the cello for audiences again and tries to make the best of her marriage.  
• She starts remembering things and is unsure of what is real and what is not. Finally, during one of her fugue states, she starts to tell him that all of her memories came back (never understanding his reasons behind everything.) She threatens to kill herself if he doesn’t grant her a divorce. (He can’t let her hurt herself so he finally “gives up” and grants her the divorce.)

• She checks herself into a mental institution for five months (the thing that scared her the most) and has experimental treatment (shock therapy) and is successful. However , she’s devastated bc she believes Eli had never visited her and had moved on with his life. 
• Cecily tells her that he’s come every single night for five months, usually reading to her before disappearing early in the morning, not wanting to hinder her progress. 
  
  
• Things that happened in the missing two years:
  -There was no accident with a truck; she crashed into a pole and the guy following her was her ex, Ollie, who tried to rape her. Eli had been following her and killed him and then said she had to marry him or he’d blame her for being an accomplice. They married under duress. 
  -Every time she had a fugue state, Eli found her, bathed her and dressed her for sleep. 
  -Eli did admit her to a mental institution, where she tried to kill herself, so her removed her the next day to become her caretaker.  
  -During one of her fugue states, she stabbed him and, horrified with herself, backed away, falling down the stairs, where she ended up in the hospital with amnesia. 

• She realizes that he does love her in his own way and goes to him after the mental institution. HEA 😭😭😭

“Breathe, Ava. Fuck, come on, beautiful. Breathe.” 
I actually stop panicking for a second because what…? What’s going on? He called me ‘beautiful’ and he’s touching me. Matter of fact, he’s been touching me since I woke up. Eli never touches me. The longer I stare at his eyes, the more my breathing slows. They’re different. But how…? Why…? 
“That’s it. Good girl.” 
My heart trips over itself and my breathing stutters. The machines beep louder and my world tilts on its axes. Did Eli just call me a good girl? The Eli King?

Ava’s silence, however, has always been an irksome, absolutely maddening experience. It’s like reaching an oasis in the middle of the desert, only to find out it’s a mirage. 😍

All because of an infuriating woman who has pink, glitter, and my pending demise up her sleeve.

“He’s my cousin, but he’s an emotionless prick who collects little girls' broken hearts in a jar and then sacrifices them to his demons. Don’t be a heart in a jar, Ava.”

She’s the purple to my pink 💖and the only one of my friends who’s obsessed with looking like a princess. All the time.

Or the fact that she’s put on a subtle hint of makeup. She wants to look beautiful. She loves herself more. 🥹

My Remi is different. He’s lovable, a gentleman, and every woman’s dream man. He just needs a little push to see the love of his life. Aka me. 😂😂

“Only after my ring is on his finger.” “Jesus. You’re thinking of marriage at eighteen?” 
“I’ve loved him since I was eleven. That’s seven years too late, if you ask me.”  😂😍
