Could I give a higher rating?   Beautifully written (and illustrated) with hard truths appropriate for children.  I really appreciated the way Díaz included the bad memories and hard realities without letting them overwhelm the overall positivity of the story.  So often, books like these, especially ones for children, try to sweep those out of the way without understanding what a vital part of the story they  are.
