This was... interesting. The first 40% I just absolutely flew through. It was so engaging and fast-paced, I couldn't stop reading if I wanted to. After that, the pace slows to a crawl. As the time counts down to the wedding day, there is a lot of thinking but no real moving forward of the plot, which frustrates me a bit.
There's a lot of vacillating back and forth without really coming to a decision either way until the final act of the book so the pacing is really uneven. There are some interesting musings but the characters are very indecisive and don't really do much for most of the book, which made it a bit of a slog to get through.
