This was very wholesome, which was absolutely what I wanted so yaaay. Wholesome but also heartfelt and with just enough stakes and emotion for it to still be a fairly chill read, the Becky Chambers special haha. I loved seeing an expansion of this universe and the people (and not-people) within it - very cool stuff!

I read this mostly through the audiobook on Spotify while playing Slay the Spire for some added useless context and the narrator did a really good job - it's a shame it seems that the rest of the series isn't available on Spotify which is a bit of a shame.
