Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
4.0
I feel like the complexity of the relationships, not just between Daisy, Camila and Billy, but also with Graham and Karen made Daisy Jones and The Six a great read. Since this was my first time annotating a book, I could pen my thoughts with greater clarity, which made me think of this book more deeply than I would've.
Taylor Reid writes about substance abuse and complex mature relationships well, and this book stands as a testament to that. As much as I loathed Billy's character in the start, I understood him by the end (that doesn't mean I like him now). But Taylor doesn't write likable characters. She writes characters that are desperate to be understood, and even with the format of this book (interview format), the message shined through.
