i struggled with this book for too long now. and as life's too short to read books one doesn't find enjoyable or at lest mentally stimulating i'm leaving this one unfinished. i don't think there's something particularly wrong with it, it's just that the author failed to develop any of her multifarious characters and as a result left her readers impotent to engage with the story
